My girls on any school morning need more than just a nudge to stir their slumber and rise to the day filled with text and arithmetic problems. Once they are finally up their father is constantly asked for their focus at finishing their breakfast so dressing oneself may occur. It’s like pushing a rocking chair up a hill. You give it a nudge and it just remains swaying back and forth accomplishing nothing. Many an impatient word was levied against this lack of action and every attempt to try to improve this juvenile behavior fails. The uphill battle continues on.
But on a certain day of the week there seems to be a shift in the axis of the universe. A turn in the tide of this small, insignificant skirmish has occurred. The faces of gloom are now radiant pictures of sunlight with ambition to enjoy life. O Saturday morning shall forever go down in history as a modern marvel.
This is how Monday morning is for me. I can’t wait to arrive and start the week out. To begin a new week pursuing the work of our bright adventure we seek. I know, I know, I’m weird. But it’s true. I really love what we do. Always trying to find ways to expand and to seek new ways of accomplishing our vision gets me up and moving. I also love the team. I get to work with the best people ever assembled. Though they are a group of misfits (see me smiling) they are great group to pursue life with. It is my privilege and honor to join them every week on the couch to watch our favorite toons.
