Growth and development
With every great organization there are some things that will always change and develop with growth, but with that growth there is something that should never change if the organization is to survive the ebb and flows of business.
What changes are the Who and the How. Constantly redirecting personnel for new projects and redeveloping process to meet new demands are required for healthy growth. Never satisfied with what is happening and always looking for a better way of functioning is a healthy, growing team. What never changes is the Why. The reason and drive of the organization is critical. This is the center of the Who and the How. All other action that is productive, although it’s constantly changing, revolves around the Why.
Who is the competition? Anyone can look at the market place and see who the competition is. But there is a hiding competitor that lies within an organization. The real competitor is the loss of focus on the Why. Distraction about what others may or may not be doing slows down the Who and How and the Why gets lost. What this whole four part topic boiled down to is this… desire. There is a collected dream that is shared and everyone puts his/her best contribution forward in their push around the axis.
