Disruption

Here I am, going through life and work…and then a schedule change. My wife has a conference to go to in Dallas, and our girls (because of their university model education) will be home, that day, doing school work. So I get to rise to the occasion and stay home with them and make sure the school work is done properly and complete.

The event started the night before with no abnormal hiccups. Dropped Sherril off at the airport and picked the two older girls up from school. At home, we arranged our “things” and started dinner. Dinner was frozen pizza. I should have just had it delivered, but I digress. Dinner was over and, after that; the whole struggle of clothing reluctant girls in pajamas began. This process was sped up, however, with the bribe of a movie after, if all of us came through with good behavior. Done, and then tired heads hit the pillow, which was welcomed by their father. With a check of my email, I realized that my day, tomorrow, would be extra busy. A contract to sign, a schedule conflict to adjust, personnel management issues, two conference calls, and still I must make sure that school work is completed too.

This is good to have in my life. A disruption, from my ways, to force me to see life through my wife’s eyes, if even for a moment, is good. Her walk though life is no small waltz, more like an uphill climb! And to spend time with my daughters is a blessing. They are good girls with hearts true and clear. They have a wonderful and hopeful look at life.

I guess I should go now and see why there is screaming in the other room. I so got this handled.

Why is the kitchen table on fire?.........
